Mathapanchar

Mathapuncture is a slang word mostly used in plains of Nepal which refers to ‘burst of mind’. The play depicts characters and incidents from a village in Terai in Nepal. The content of the story is related with political-based corruption and nepotism in administrative bodies of government. It tells the tragic story of a young boy from marginalized community, who is disqualified from a job in his village because he doesn’t have the political access. Eventually, he is forced to go abroad to get employment. In the end of the play, the boy gets back dead in a coffin-box leaving his mother and the girl-friend deep in trauma.
