Mandala Theatre-Nepal has a history of organizing and participating in different national and international theatre festivals. Even before forming the group, the founders had got opportunities to participate in some of the renowned festivals. With the realization of theatre festival’s importance and impact, soon after its establishment, Mandala had organized a 3 days long International Theatre Festival in 2009. With the slogan ‘Journey into Theatre’, the festival had invited plays from Nepal and India. 2nd Mandala International Youth Theatre Festival 2011 was continuation of same endeavour. The festival showcased plays from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka  and Russia. In 2012, Mandala associated with Aarohan Gurukul to co-organize 3rd Kathmandu International Theatre Festival with inauguration of Mandala’s theatre space in Kathmandu.

In 2019, Mandala Theatre-Nepal organized nationwide the first Nepal International Theatre Festival (NITFest 2019) in association with six theatre groups from Kathmandu and four theatre groups from different provinces. Plays from 9 countries were staged in different auditoriums in Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Pokhara and Janakpur during the festival. The main festival in Kathmandu was inaugurated in premises of Mandala by right honorable Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. KP Sharma Oli.
