We are looking forward to hire personnel for our upcoming projects and activities for the following positions:
1. POSITION: ACCOUNTS MANAGER
WORK TYPE: Management Assistant
LOCATION: – Department of Finance, Mandala Theatre – Nepal, Anamnagar, opposite of Singadurbar East Gate, Kathmandu, Nepal
DURATION: – Initial contract duration of one and half year (full time). Probation period is set for three months. Potential to extend based on satisfactory performance.
Summary/objective of Position
The position is responsible for reconciling Mandala Theatre-Nepal’s account balances and bank statements, maintaining all transaction in software (Tally) and preparing month-end close procedures. The personnel must have excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
In this position, you will be responsible for the financial health of our company/NGO by managing our financial procedures. Your duties will include implementation of planned budgets, participating in audits, monitoring transactions, and preparing invoices and supporting documents and reporting in monthly and quarterly basis.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep and maintain separate accounts for both Mandala Company and non-profit organization.
- Implement financial policies to guarantee operational efficiency.
- Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions.
- Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with latest transactions and changes.
- Contribute to financial planning, implementation and audits.
- Monitor all bank deposits and payments.
- Make payments and receipts.
- Prepare and provide monthly financial reports.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit & loss account, cash flow account etc. keeping support- documents of all transactions of company and NGO as requirements.
- Maintain the necessary TAX, TDS and ETDS of the transactions.
- Keep all the financial transaction in the software (TALLY)
- Prepare quarterly report of LP (Administration expenses)
- Prepare reports of LSA (Funded Program) according to donor timeline and requirements.
- Keep the income and expenses records of Mandala’s individual programs and activities for example plays, acting classes etc..
- Work in close communication with Mandala’s Management Assistant and in supervision of Art Manager.
Skill, Qualification and Experience
Mandatory
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree study in Accounting or Finance or Business Management, Public Administration or other relevant field.
- Minimum of three years of work experience in public sector financial management as an accountant or above.
- In-depth Knowledge of accounting process, office package in computer and Tally.
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding and analytical time management skill
- Willingness to learn, share and work in a group of diverse members.
Desirable
- Master´s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business Management, Public Administration or other relevant field will be an added advantage
- Training in relevant field (management, financial management, accounting) is preferable
- Understanding of government legal procedures such as SWC, DAO etc.
- Experience in handling funded projects is preferable.
- Additional work experience with national and or international non-governmental organizations will be an added advantage.
- Work experience with national or international art organization (theatre, music and film) will be added advantages.
- Written and verbal communication in both English and Nepali is preferable
REPORTING:- The personnel will directly report to the Art Manager of Mandala Theatre-Nepal
SALARY: – Nrs.35000/- per month including of all tax (tea, communication and transportation expenses will be provided in basic standard)
2. POSITION: ADMIN ASSISTANT
WORK TYPE: Class Coordinator
LOCATION: – Department of Management, Mandala Theatre – Nepal, Anamnagar, opposite of Singadurbar East Gate, Kathmandu, Nepal
DURATION: – Initial contract duration of one and half year (full time). Probation period is set for three months. Potential to extend based on satisfactory performance.
Summary/objective of Position
The position is responsible for the organization of all administrative duties within Mandala Theatre-Nepal. The personnel must have a willingness to serve the office as running staff and to assist Mandala’s Art Manager in preparing important documents and updating records.
In this position, you will be responsible for providing the administrative support to the Art Manager and Mandala’s Programs. Your duties will include implementation of planned activities, arrangements of logistics and coordination of projects. You will keep an inventory of admin properties and also supervise reception and hospitality tasks. You are requested to perform the tasks within and outside of the office.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and logistics support to programmatic, communication and events of organization and company
- Coordinate for theatre classes, trainings and workshops
- Assist in the inventory and procurement process and with archiving documents/folders, monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Support the Accounts Manager in implementing all banking transaction such as cheque and cash deposit, withdraw, payments to the parties etc.
- Handle the bill payment, renewal and other relevant processes of organization and company.
- Keep an updated inventory of office assets
- Photocopies or scans materials upon request
- Performs other duties, as required.
- Supervise the work of Front Desk Officer and Support Staffs such as cleaning department
- Work in close communication with Mandala’s Accounts Manager and in supervision of Art Manager
Skill, Qualification and Experience
Mandatory
- Minimum of intermediate level of education
- Minimum of three years of work experience in relevant position.
- In depth knowledge of office package in computer (word, excel and powerpoint)
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding and analytical time management skill
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn, share and work in a group of diverse members.
Desirable
- Sound knowledge of necessary documentation, approval and reporting to the Samaj Kalyan Parishad (SWC), Jilla Prashasan Karyalaya (DAO), Nagarpalika and Wada Karyalaya is preferable.
- Work experience in any art organization (theatre, music, film) will be added advantage
- Written and verbal communication in both English and Nepali
REPORTING: – The personnel will directly report to the Art Manager of Mandala Theatre-Nepal
SALARY: – Nrs. 25000/- per month including of all tax (tea, communication and transportation expenses will be provided in basic standard)
