Mandala Theatre-Nepal will host the eighth edition of THEATRE LAB at the end of February this year. THEATRE LAB is a short term theatre qualification program being conducted by Mandala Theatre-Nepal for novice theatre learners. It had been launched as the group practice among enthusiast theatre learners and artists for the first time in 2012. It was developed as production-oriented theatre training in the following years.
THEATRE LAB invites participants to explore their theatre-practice through three-month-long participatory-based activities, research-based production process, and practical conservatoire teaching. With this program, Mandala is committed to produce and promote future artists in the theatre field who are equipped to be a driving force of innovation in their chosen careers. Mandala has completed SEVEN seasons of the program with some remarkable productions.
In the eighth edition of THEATRE LAB, we will provide intensive theatre training to a maximum of 20 participants in March and April 2021. In May 2021, the students will be taken through the production process, and they will stage the performance in the first week of June 2021.
