A team consisting of 25 actor members of Mandala Theatre is going to Delhi this afternoon. This team will participate in 19th edition of pretigious Bharat Rang Mahotsav - International Theatre Festival of India to perform the drama "Sunkeshari" on the stage of National School of Drama (NSD).
The festival was inaugurated from Feb 01, 2017 at Kamini Theatre and Mandala will perform the play on the Feb 17th at 8.30 PM local time ate premised of NSD.
Sunkeshari is writtedn by Pioneer in Nepalese Culture Mr. Satya Mohan Joshi and is directed by Rajan Khatiwada. The play was first performed at Mandala Theatre 5 years ago for the first time. Following that, this play is performed more than seventy times in Nepal and also has participated in prestigious theatre festival in India and Bangladesh.
The team that is going to India includes, Daya Hang Rai, Rajan Khatiwada, Srijana Subba, Bijay Baral, Buddhi Tamang, Somnath Khanal, Bikash Joshi, Umesh Tamang, Ranjana Oli, Binita Gurung, Sulanchyan Bharati, Srijana Adhikari, Sarita Giri, Dil Bandhu Yadav (Suraj), Laxmi Bardewa, Sanjeep Pariyar, Mohammad Najir Hussein, Arjesh Regmi, Pradeep Kumar Chaudhari, Shijan Dahal, Devraj Sunuwar (Ingihopo Koichh), Anupam Sharma, Suraj Khanal and Basudev Khadka (Ankit).
The team went to Delhi via Train from Sunauli on Feb 13th and will come back to Kathmandu on Feb 18th.
