Today (March 26, 2013) theatre artists and theatre lovers gathered in Mandala Theatre Nepal to celebrate Holi (Festival of Colors). The day was fun filled as there was lot of colors flying the sky. The like minded gathering of theatre artists was enjoyed by everyone present. The celebration started in the morning after Mandala Family observed Tika from Sunil Pokharel, who is considered as Guru (Teacher) by most of Nepali Theatre artists. Presenter danced together to take up to fun to next level.

Mandala Theatre Nepal is organising a special program to mark the World Theatre Day at March 27, 2013 from 4 PM onwards. Prominent figures from Nepali theatre are expected to join the program.

World Theatre Day was initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI). It is celebrated annually on the 27th March by ITI Centres and the international theatre community. Various national and international theatre events are organized to mark this occasion.


The latest production of Mandala Theatre called "Degree Maila" will be shown on March 27 on 5.15pm. It is an extra show as the regular shows of Mandala have finished on Saturday. Due to Maximum Audience Participation Mandala has already addded an extra show on Sunday. The play directed by Daya Hang Rai is a big Hit.

"On the occasion of  World Theatre Day, It will be a gift to our audience" says Som Nath Khanal who is an acrtor of Degree Maila. "Oher extra shows will also be added if the auidience flow continues."  adds khanal.
