About the play
Originally, Yuma is the most important goddess from Limbu-mythology who represents teachings about livelihoods and freedom. This play puts Yuma into today’s Nepal and confronts her with challenges, such as families not accepting inter-cast love-marriages, lovers growing apart and people having to search work abroad, rather than in Nepal itself.
