People lighting candle in the rememberance of those who are disappeared

Mandala Theatre-Nepal together with NEFAD (National Network of Families of Disappeared and Missing Nepal) invites anyone interested to join the second collaborative commemoration of artists and activists in the wake of the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances on Aug 30, 2016. On this day, Mandala's premises will feature for example arts-installations, an exhibition, an info-stall and a Sarangi-performance throughout the day. In the evening, the premier of 'Ardha Satya' (roughly translated as 'Half Truth') awaits us. This performance was developed by Creative Director, Rajan Khatiwada, in collaboration with NEFAD and others.

Poster of the Play Boksi ko Ghar

Mandala theatre is performing a new play title- Boksi Ko Ghar (बोक्सीको घर) starting from August 12 to August 28, 2016. It is a play that will try to get into the lives of the "witches" as labelled them by our society and the backstory that actually creates them. The play is written and directed by Sulakshyan Bharati and will contain solo performance of Sarita Giri.

Mandala Theatre is performing a play titled - Manachinte Firante (मनचिन्ते फिरन्ते) at its theatre hall from Jul 22 t Aug 06, 2016. This play was produced originally to perform in Mobile Theatre Bus of Mandala. Mandala Theatre have performed this play in 15 different location of Kathmandu Valley as a part of Mobile Theatre Tour. Finally now, Manachinte Firante has come to Mandala Theatre Hall for all of those who have had not the chance to watch it earlier.

मनचिन्ते फिरन्ते (Manachinte Firante) is a story of a village where many rats live. This play portrays a unique way chosen by a rat to solve the problems occurred in his life and his community. This play is based on world famous children story 'Fredrick' by Italian writer Leo Lionni. This is translated and dramatized by Viplop Pratik and Somnath Khanal and is Directed by Rajan Khatiwada.

The play is 1 hour and 10 minutes long.

Tickets are priced at Rs. 300 for general audience and Rs. 200 for students (ID Card Compulsory).
